If you have not noticed making wedding gowns that have splashes of color are my passion. Although there are a variety of beautiful ivory and white wedding fabrics available adding color is one of my favorite things to do. This beautiful dress has brown, ivory, and green colors...the theme was woodland steampunk fairy tale.
The floral lace was carefully cut and hand sewn across the seams to extend the vines out along the waist and bust of the custom corset. The flowers were cut from three different fabrics and hand sewn as well. Many hours were spent on the hand work. Watching a favorite movie and working on hand sewing seems to be one of my hobbies now. :) I hand draped the skirt to get the colors to work together. Yards and yards of green, ivory, and copper tulle were placed to give it the fullness and texture.
This is one of my favorite new pieces for 2017.
