It has been awhile since I updated the Secret Boutique diary aka blog. I have been finishing up the rest of the weddings for 2019 and photographs have slowly started to come back from brides. Thank you for sending your reviews, emails, and photos! It keeps my little business going. This year I decided to continue my education and grow my skills in corsetry and couture design even further. I hope you enjoy the photos of the new designs and bridal photos debuting right now.
I have been also working on taking better photographs. I will take more of the new Moonflower dress soon. White on white background is difficult to capture all the details. I really enjoyed creating this new art piece and was inspired by the Colorado snow and winter fairy artwork when I made the design.
The dress features holographic material, soft tulle gently draped to create a peek a boo in the front of the high low skirt. The corset features criss cross glitter elastic straps, lace overlay on top of the holographic material, and hand cut flowers. I added crystals and beads throughout the corset. It was a fun design to make. Please enjoy the photos as I add more soon.
Thank you again for buying my art and keeping me busy. :)
This past year (2017), I received more winter wedding commissions then I ever had before. It was exciting but very busy. This really inspired me to make a new sample dress of white and silver with a matching jacket. This dress was the final vision shown in the photographs. The top is a sheer mesh [...]
In August, I had the opportunity to work with Xion Leigh and Jon Prins on a photoshoot that debuted the butterfly ombre wedding dress for 2018. Jon was very professional and collected. He was cool and positive through out the entire shoot. We shot the corset gown in the mountains that overlook Boulder, CO. Xion [...]
If you happened to look at my facebook page this week, you will see the new corset gown for 2018. White satin corset with blue morpho silk butterflies, hand dyed lace and flower appliques are hand sewn at various points on the steel boned corset. The ombre tulle skirt fades from white, to lilac, to [...]
This past summer I had the chance to have a new set of steampunk inspired designs photographed by Frank LeBoeuf and Yuri Faer. Dorotka Modelka was the model that is shown wearing one of my corsets and tutu designs (light blue dress). I have been trying out different photographers this past year and Frank and [...]
A couple of years ago I began designing a beautiful pattern for a new corset. The design combined 18th and 19th styles of corsetry. I wanted to make a corset that was versatile and that could be used within a "wardrobe". The wearer could add different chemises, sleeves, skirts, bustles, etc...to create their own unique [...]
