Happy Valentine's Day!
I was finally able to release Lucy, the beautiful ivory silk gothic wedding gown that I have been working on. I was watching gothic movies this past winter and this is the design that came to fruition.
The design sarts with an ivory silk dupioni trumpet skirt then a cascade of tulle ruffles for the sweep train. Hand draped tulle overlays the skirt with red hand sewn flowers. The hourglass corset has a tulle overlay to give the fabric more sparkle. Hand sewn lace applique details and a red crystal jewel are carefully placed to enhance the waist and bust. The beaded chocker also features a red jewel. The sheer bustle is placed by hook and eye under lace appliques at the back of the waist.
