Policies

PAYMENT POLICY:

We accept payments by credit or debit card via PayPal. Personal bank checks or money orders sent by postal mail must be made out to "The Secret Boutique". Please allow 14 business days for personal checks and money orders to clear before order is processed.

LAYAWAY POLICY:

You may pay for your corset or wedding gown through our layaway option. We require a deposit of 50% before placing an order. We will send you an invoice for the final payment once the merchandise is finished. Merchandise will not be shipped until the balance is paid in full. You have 14 business days to cancel an order. After 14 days orders cannot be cancelled and deposit is non-refundable.

CUSTOM EVENING/WEDDING GOWN ORDERS:

Due to the intricate nature of fitting custom evening/bridal gowns we prefer to do in house fittings at our current location in Wichita, KS. We can offer a mail-order muslin service (please see our muslins page). At certain times of the year bridal gown samples will be put on sale either thru Etsy or auctioned off on Ebay. If there is a certain bridal gown sample you are interested in please request to be placed on our mailing list.

RETURN POLICY:

Accurate measuring is essential when ordering your custom gown, corset, or design. The Secret Boutique is not responsible for inaccurate measurements.

RETURN POLICY FOR CUSTOM MADE MERCHANDISE:

Due to the nature of our business there are absolutely no returns for any custom made merchandise. Custom made merchandise is defined as any merchandise designed to custom sizing or specifications, or any merchandise that is customized in anyway. Please note we can not be held responsible for inaccurate measurements submitted by the customer. We recommend having your measurements taken by a professional tailor or seamstress. Please note we make every attempt to make our gowns with extra length in the hem and large side seams to allow for any adjustments that may be needed due to inaccurate measurements

RETURN POLICY FOR NON-CUSTOM ORDERS:

If you are not satisfied with your non custom purchase you may return it for any reason. We do charge a restocking fee of 12% and are not responsible for return shipping. Please note when trying on corsets wear a t-shirt to avoid any marks and do not lace the corset too tight. Corsets will quickly form to the shape of your body when tight laced.

CANCELLATIONS POLICY:

You have 14 business days to cancel your order and your deposit will be refunded in full. If you choose to cancel your order after 14 days your deposit will be forfeited and you may still be responsible for the remainder of the balance. Gowns not paid in full 6 months after the final invoice is sent will become the sole property of the Secret Boutique and will therefore be sold as a sample gown.

INTERNATIONAL CUSTOM ORDERS:

At this time we are unable to take international orders for "custom" gowns & corsets. If you have a special request please feel free to email us. International customers may feel free to order any of our gowns/corsets that are "ready to ship". Please understand the Secret Boutique is not responsible for custom duty taxes. Please check with your local custom's department before buying any of our ready to ship merchandise.
